love and relationship

i would love to think of the above as a single entity. but the truth could not be futher from that.

Being in love takes no effort, no work. it's a no brainer and all it requires is for you to fall and be happy.
a relationship on the other hand is pretty much the opposite. once you fall, you gotta keep working at it, keep better-ing it just to maintain a peaceful state of mind in life, both yours and his/hers.

which SUCKS!
especially with all the... templates set for 2 individuals who wish to just enjoy each other's company.

i mean. hell YEAH i like you, I'm interested in you as a person, for both you brains and flesh. and YES i would like to spend time with you, make out with you, even have sex if we get to that point but HEY! does the above all equate to wanting a relationship? uh UH!

but in today's world, as warped and screwed up as it already is, that's just it!
if you want to hold my hands, if you wanna FEEL in love, to love and be loved in return you kinda HAVE to be in a relationship with me...
before ya'll think of me as naive nerdette, i am utterly aware that people do have sex and feel loved and all that with no strings attached- at a price.
cos honestly, if you sincerely are interested in someone, you would wish for a "settlement" of some sorts, a contract, a form of security in your vested interest in HER...

but ARGH! the flip side just screams ... ...
does that mean you have to *gulp* commit?

being in a relationship undoubtedly is the fountain of youth of love - it makes 2 people WORK at staying in love, causes them to think through ending a shared love...

I think. however. that being in a relationship just makes things worse for love. period.
